Resume

I’m retired. Before that, I was a Software Architect at ICterra. I’m still a PhD candidate at Ege University. This is a trimmed version of my resume. For the rest, see About or email me.

Summary

I’m a software architect with a background in electrical engineering. I led embedded software development for multinational teams, ran interdisciplinary projects in computer vision, artificial intelligence and robotics, and built real-time Linux applications. I also managed R&D projects, mentored teams, taught electromechanical energy conversion, and led the development of scientific software tools.

Experience

  • Software Architect, ICterra Information and Communication Technologies (2022 to 2025). I led embedded software development for VOIP phones with teams in the UK, Germany, the Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey and Brazil, and drove the architectural design.
  • Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Asis Automation (2021 to 2022). I led projects in computer vision, AI and robotics, and developed embedded software for automation systems.
  • Real Time Linux Software Application Engineer, Marmatek Engineering (2020 to 2021). I developed embedded software for real-time Linux applications and gave technical support for them.
  • R&D Director / Engineer, Celikkaleli (2016 to 2020). I led R&D projects and stayed hands-on as an engineer.
  • R&D Projects Coordinator, Vanguard Automation&Drives (2015 to 2016). I developed large power drives for induction machines and coordinated R&D projects.
  • Part-time Lecturer, Ege University, Department of Electrical Engineering (2013 to 2015). I taught Electromechanical Energy Conversion.
  • Developer and Team Leader, Equalis (2012 to 2014). I led the development of Scilab/Xcos scientific software tools.
  • Co-founder and R&D Manager, Proge Consulting (2013 to 2014).
  • Lecturer, Gediz University Vocational College, Mechatronics and Electronics (2013 to 2014). I taught electrical machines, PLCs and microcontrollers.

Earlier, I worked as R&D Manager at Cantek Cooling Machines (2011 to 2012), R&D Engineer at Superpar Automotive (2008 to 2011), Lecturer at Dokuz Eylul University Izmir Vocational College (2002 to 2008), and Project Engineer at Atlas Elevators (1997 to 2002).

Education

  • PhD, Ege University (2022 to present)
  • MSc, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Selcuk University (2005 to 2006)
  • BSc, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Selcuk University (1992 to 1996)

Skills

Embedded software development, architectural design, integration of software systems, real-time Linux applications, C, R&D project management, interdisciplinary project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Selected projects

  • Embedded software for VOIP phones, built with an international team.
  • Computer vision, AI and robotics projects for automation systems.
